Creating Backlinks to Your Site

Backlinks show the search engine spiders just how popular your site is. The more backlinks you have the higher your website will show in the search results. Who doesn’t want to be on page one of Google? SEO Joke!If you do any type of marketing online you will understand that your site requires backlinks to be found.

So how do you create backlinks?
For me personally my number one favorite method is to use a plugin that does the work for you. This Samson Plugin has received many great reviews and it works superbly. Customers state that they have not had any spammy types of links, just solid links with a good reputation.

Using this type of plugin will save you time and effort but you can still create your own backlinks manually. This can be done in various ways including:

  1. Creating videos with a link back to your site
  2. Writing and publishing articles to article directories
  3. Leaving comments on related blogs
  4. Finding high ranking websites and offering to write a guest post for them

The one thing that all of these methods have in common is that they are time consuming. Not that it can’t be done it really just depends on how much time and effort you want to put into creating your own backlinks. My solution is much simpler for sure.

While backlinks are important for pushing your site to the top of the search engine rankings there is more to linking than this. You should also concentrate on linking on your own blog. For example you can link from your main page, if you have one, to your contact or about page.

When it comes to writing posts and articles simply add a link to a previous post that is on a similar topic. This is great for the search engine spiders but also wonderful for your readers as you are providing them with additional information. Keep your readers happy and they will return for more quality information from you.

While the concept of marketing online can be confusing it really is not that difficult to understand.  Think of it in this way. Don’t you find yourself recommending products to your friends and pointing them in the right direction? All of these pointers from you and other people are just like having links back to the main product. This results in more sales and customers for the person or product.

It then makes sense to have lots of backlinks (recommendations) from other websites and blogs pointing to your main site. This is seen as popularity in the eyes of Google and is rewarded by providing you with a higher page ranking. This will eventually equal increased traffic and sales.
